Challenge
The property featured a large fenced paddock area with a stunning lakefront setting but little to show for it — the soil was bare and compacted, out of keeping with the high-end character of the estate. The client needed a dense, even grass stand that would hold up across the open field and complement the property's existing landscaping and white rail fencing.
Approach
We prepared the soil surface and hydroseeded the full paddock with a custom seed blend suited to the site's sun exposure, soil type, and aesthetic goals. The application laid down seed, fertilizer, and tackified hydromulch in a single pass — covering the entire field with uniform green coverage. The hydromulch layer locked in moisture and gave the seed the best possible environment for germination and establishment.
Results
The result is exactly what lakefront property should look like — a thick, even stand of grass running wall to wall within the white fencing, with the reservoir as a backdrop. The hydromulch held through establishment, and the stand came in dense and consistent across the full area.
